Tuve yo, TERESA AQUINO esta visión de mi cabeza vi aun hombre que cogió rápidamente a un niño por una cera de la calle, por su mano izquierda el niño iba de frente y el hombre le salio de lado, y lo tomo bruscamente. vi el resplandor del movimiento del hombre, sin temor a equivocarme.
la visión desapareció, y dije al Señor;
Señor, ese niño fue el que desapareció.
Dios me mostró, una calle solitaria con un terreno baldío.
Después me habló diciéndome:
Que busquen al niño en Astoria Queens.
y habló Dios del niño autista, Avonte Oquendo.

En la visiones de mi cabeza, que tuve hace tres día, vi aun hombre, que agarró a Avonte Oquendo por la mano izquierda NYC.

Estudio bíblico en el Pentateuco evangelio según San Lucas capitulo 5.
Tema:
Jesús llamó a Sus discípulos por segunda vez; sanó a leprosos; sanó a un paralítico; y pronunció la parábola del vestido nuevo y los odres nuevos.
Leamos los versículos 1 al 3, que relatan el incidente en que
Jesús llamó a sus discípulos por segunda vez
“Aconteció que estando Jesús junto al Lago de Genesaret, el gentío se agolpaba sobre él para oír la palabra de Dios. Vio dos barcas que estaban cerca de la orilla del lago; los pescadores habían descendido de ellas y lavaban sus redes. Entró en una de aquellas barcas, la cual era de Simón y le rogó que la apartara de tierra un poco. Luego, sentándose, enseñaba desde la barca a la multitud.”
El Lago de Genesaret era el Mar de Galilea. Allí los pescadores habían dejado sus barcas y estaban lavando sus redes. El Señor se subió al bote de Simón Pedro y le pidió que lo empujara un poco para alejarlo de la orilla. Fue aquel un púlpito improvisado para Jesús. Creo que esta escena real es también una ilustración figurativa y sugestiva. En un sentido, cada púlpito es una “barca de pesca”, un lugar para comunicar la Palabra de Dios e intentar pescar peces. Ello no quiere decir que recogeremos peces toda vez que proclamemos la Palabra, –los discípulos, al menos, no los recogieron con esa frecuencia. Pero sí significa que aquel que se encuentra a bordo no debe olvidar que su suprema misión en la vida es pescar las almas de los seres humanos. Continúa diciendo el versículo 4:
“Cuando terminó de hablar, dijo a Simón: Boga mar adentro, y echad vuestras redes para pescar.”
Después que el Señor terminó de hablar a la gente, debió pensar que había llegado el momento de dejar de pescar hombres y de pescar más bien unos peces. Mateo y Marcos nos dijeron que la primera vez que El llamó a estos hombres se encontraba caminando junto al Mar de Galilea; en aquella ocasión vio a Simón Pedro y a su hermano Andrés arrojando una red al mar, porque eran pescadores. Y el Señor les dijo entonces: “Seguidme y os haré pescadores de hombres” (Mateo 4:19; Marcos 1:17). Estos hombres habían regresado a su ocupación como pescadores. EL Señor evidentemente realizó 3 llamados a Sus discípulos. El había conocido a la mayoría en Jerusalén, lo cual fue relatado por Juan en su primer capítulo. Cuando Juan el Bautista identificó y señaló a Jesús, algunos de los discípulos que estaban con Juan quisieron saber donde vivía Jesús. Entre aquellos que seguían a Juan estaban Felipe, Natanael, Simón Pedro y Andrés. El Señor no había llamado a estos hombres en aquella primera ocasión; simplemente les conoció. Mas tarde, el Señor pasaría por el Mar de Galilea, les vería pescar y les invitaría a seguirle. Ellos dejarían sus redes y le seguirían. Luego regresarían a su profesión habitual. Después, Lucas nos relató que el Señor les invitó una vez más, llamándoles a ser pescadores de hombres, y en esa ocasión les nombró Sus apóstoles.
Mientras el Señor había estado hablando a la multitud desde su barca, Simón Pedro había permanecido sentado en el bote escuchando. Cuando terminó de hablar le pidió que se internase mar adentro y que arrojase sus redes. Es como si le hubiese dicho: “Deja de pescar conmigo, que ahora voy yo a pescar contigo”. Veamos su reacción en el versículo 5:
“Respondiendo Simón, le dijo: Maestro, toda la noche hemos estado trabajando y nada hemos pescado; pero en tu palabra echaré la red.”
La frase “pero en tu palabra echaré la red” resalta que en un principio se había resistido. Eran pescadores expertos y pensaban que lo sabían todo sobre la pesca en el Mar de Galilea, y realmente, así era. Pedro aclaró que habían estado pescando toda la noche sin haber recogido nada.
La historia cuenta que en una ocasión Wellington comunicó una orden a uno de sus generales. Este le respondió que era imposible cumplir esa orden. Entonces Wellington le dijo: “Pues vaya Ud. y cúmplala, porque yo no doy órdenes imposibles”. Cuando el Señor Jesucristo te da una orden, no necesitas argumentar o discutirla con El, con un argumento similar al que utilizó Pedro: “Lo hemos intentado y no puede hacerse”. El no nos da mandatos imposibles de obedecer. El versículo 6 nos presenta el resultado de aquel incidente:
“Cuando lo hicieron, recogieron tal cantidad de peces que su red se rompía.”
La pesca tuvo que llevarse a cabo bajo sus instrucciones. Aquí hay muchas lecciones para nosotros. La pesca es un arte. Uno tiene que ir a donde se encuentran los peces, utilizar la carnada adecuada, ser paciente; pero la lección importante que nos está enseñando es que tenemos que pescar de acuerdo con Sus instrucciones.
En esta ocasión, la red se rompió. Más tarde, en el libro de Juan, una red llena de peces no se rompió. La red del pescador nos enseña una verdad. En aquella ocasión no había red que pudiese contener a los peces por la sencilla razón que El todavía no había muerto y resucitado de los muertos, y el Evangelio consiste precisamente en esas 2 realidades. La “red” que contuviera los peces debería ser una que estuviese basada en la muerte y resurrección de Cristo. En esta ocasión, aun no había tenido lugar la muerte ni la resurrección, y la red se rompió. Después de Su muerte y resurrección, El Señor les enseñó como pescar y entonces la red no se rompió. (Juan 21:1-11). En esa ocasión, les dijo que fuesen al predicar el Evangelio hasta los confines de la tierra.
Continuemos leyendo los versículos 7 y 8:
“Entonces hicieron señas a los compañeros que estaban en la otra barca para que acudieran a ayudarlos. Ellos vinieron y llenaron ambas barcas, de tal manera que se hundían. Viendo esto Simón Pedro, cayó de rodillas ante Jesús, diciendo: Apártate de mí, Señor, porque soy hombre pecador.”
Observemos qué enorme cantidad de peces recogieron.
Pedro confesó su fracaso; no había sido ni siquiera un buen pescador debido a su falta de fe. Cuando dijo: “Apártate de mí, Señor, porque soy un hombre pecador” fue como si, en realidad le hubiera dicho: “Señor, tu me llamaste a ser un pescador de hombres y he fracasado. Y regresé a pescar peces, porque pensé que conocía mejor esa clase de pesca. Y acabo de descubrir que no es así. Apártate de mí, déjame solo. Soy un hombre pecador. Deberías encontrar a otro del cual pudieses depender y estar seguro”. Sin embargo, el Señor no intentó librarse de Simón Pedro e iba a utilizarle. Y esto también se aplica nosotros. Todo lo que tenemos que hacer es reconocer que no somos muy buenos pescadores: debemos reconocer nuestros fracasos y deslealtades. Y cuando nos acerquemos a El, no nos echará del negocio de la pesca, ni nos tirará por la borda. Nos utilizará como instrumentos. ¡Esta es una verdad alentadora! Pero, continuemos leyendo los versículos 9 y 10:
“Por la pesca que habían hecho, el temor se había apoderado de él y de todos los que estaban con él, y asimismo de Jacobo y Juan, hijos de Zebedeo, que eran compañeros de Simón. Pero Jesús dijo a Simón: No Temas; desde ahora serás pescador de hombres.”
Simón Pedro fue un pescador de hombres. Recordemos qué bien lo hizo en el día de Pentecostés. La respuesta de Jesús a Pedro había sido ciertamente significativa. 3.000 personas vinieron a Cristo después del primer sermón. Es que Pedro estaba pescando de acuerdo con las instrucciones de Dios.
Pero aquí hay otra lección. ¿Sabías que hay otro pescador? ¿No sabías que Satanás es también uno de ellos? San Pablo nos lo dijo en 2 Timoteo 2:26, que dice así: Así se despertarán, y escaparán de la trampa en la que el diablo los tiene presos y sometidos a su voluntad. Satanás también tiene su anzuelo en el agua. Dios está pescando por tu alma y lo mismo está haciendo Satanás; en su anzuelo ha colocado las cosas de este mundo que él controla. También, figurativamente hablando, podemos decir que el anzuelo de Dios es una cruz. Es la cruz donde murió por ti el Hijo de Dios. Y este es el mensaje que Dios quiere comunicarte. Por cierto, ¿en el anzuelo de quién estás tú? Porque estarás en el de Dios o en el de su enemigo. O te tiene el enemigo, o te tiene Dios. No existe un tercer pescador.
Leamos ahora los versículos 12 y 13, que nos cuentan como
Jesús limpió a un leproso
“Sucedió que estando él en una de las ciudades, se presentó un hombre lleno de lepra, el cual, viendo a Jesús, se postró con el rostro en tierra y le rogó, diciendo: Señor, si quieres, puedes limpiarme. Jesús entonces, extendiendo la mano, lo tocó, diciendo: Quiero, sé limpio. Y al instante la lepra se fue de él.”
En los versículos 12 al 15 tenemos la historia de la sanidad de un leproso. Lucas era un buen médico. Reconocía las implicaciones psicológicas de la sanidad de este leproso, lo cual no era muy comprendido en aquellos tiempos.
No se nos dice cómo aquel hombre descubrió que tenía lepra, pero pudo haber sucedido de la siguiente manera: Un día llegó de arar el campo y le dijo a su mujer: “tengo una pequeña llaga en la palma de mi mano y me molesta cuando estoy arando. ¿Podrías ponerme una cataplasma y sujetármela con una venda? La esposa le fijo la venda pero al día siguiente la llaga se encontraba peor. A los pocos días ambos se alarmaron. Su esposa le dijo: “debías ir y presentarte al sacerdote”. Así lo hizo, quien le mantuvo aislado durante 14 días. Al final de su aislamiento el sacerdote le examinó y descubrió que la lepra se había extendido. Entonces le comunicó que era un leproso. El hombre, afligido, le dijo al sacerdote: “permítame ir a despedirme de mi mujer e hijos” Y aquel le respondió: “No podrá despedirse de ellos, no podrá tener jamás a su mujer ni a sus hijos en sus brazos” Y así fue que el hombre se retiró, solo. Su familia le llevaría la comida y la dejaría en cierto lugar, retirándose de allí cuando el viniese a buscarla. Desde lejos, podría contemplar a su mujer y a sus hijos que, al pasar el tiempo, crecían cada día más.
Entonces un día el Señor Jesucristo pasó por allí. El leproso le dijo: “Señor, si quieres, puedes limpiarme”. El Rey de reyes respondió: “Quiero. Se limpio”. Pero observemos cómo le sanó el Señor. Extendió Su mano y tocó a este hombre afectado por la lepra. Este pobre hombre no había sentido por años el toque de nadie. ¿Puedes imaginarte lo que habrá significado para él sentir sobre sí el toque de la mano de Cristo?
¿Ha tocado el Señor tu vida? Hay tantas vidas que necesitan ser tocadas. Si tú ya le perteneces, y te encuentras pescando a Sus órdenes, estoy seguro de que puedes alcanzar a alguien para el Señor. Necesitas extender tu mano y tocar alguna alma para El, quien solo tú puedes hoy tocar.
Continuemos leyendo los versículos 17 al 20, en los que
Jesús tocó a un paralítico
“Aconteció un día que él estaba enseñando, y estaban sentados los fariseos y doctores de la Ley, los cuales habían venido de todas las aldeas de Galilea, de Judea y Jerusalén; y el poder del Señor estaba con él para sanar. Sucedió que unos hombres que traían en una camilla a un hombre que estaba paralítico, procuraban entrar y ponerlo delante de él. Pero no hallando cómo hacerlo a causa de la multitud, subieron encima de la casa y por el tejado lo bajaron con la camilla y lo pusieron en medio, delante de Jesús. Al ver él la fe de ellos, le dijo: Hombre, tus pecados te son perdonados.”
Este es el relato de la curación del paralítico de Capernaum. Algunos amigos suyos lo hicieron descender a través del tejado de una casa, para que el Señor Jesucristo pudiera verle. Mateo y Marcos relataron este incidente. Marcos registró el relato más extenso, aunque el suyo fue el Evangelio más breve. El Señor sanó a aquel hombre porque aquellos cuatro amigos condujeron al enfermo ante Su presencia, pudo escuchar aquellas palabras: Hombre, tus pecados te son perdonados. Y así llegó hasta aquel enfermo esta maravillosa declaración.
Hay muchas personas que no van a recibir el mensaje de salvación a menos que tú sostengas el extremo de su camilla y les lleves al lugar donde puedan escuchar la Palabra del Señor. Están paralizadas, inmovilizadas por el pecado y por muchas otras cosas del mundo que las retienen en su estado. Algunos están paralizados por los prejuicios, y otros por la indiferencia. Nunca van escuchar a Jesús decir la gran declaración: “Tus pecados te son personados”, a menos que tú tomes en tus manos los extremos de la camilla y les lleves hasta donde se encuentra el Señor.
Todos estos incidentes revelan el hecho de que el Señor Jesucristo quiere que comuniquemos el mensaje de salvación a otros. Es por ese motivo que yo predico la Palabra de Dios. Y recuerda que ninguna persona puede llevar ella sola una camilla. Se necesitaron 4 hombres para llevar la camilla de aquel paralítico. Hoy en día se necesitan más hombres y mujeres para que, con su colaboración, la Palabra de Dios pueda llegar a aquellos que la necesitan.
Leamos ahora los versículos 27 y 28, que registran
El llamado de Mateo
“Después de estas cosas salió y vio a un publicano llamado Leví, sentado al banco de los tributos públicos, y le dijo: Sígueme. Él, dejándolo todo, se levantó y lo siguió.”
En su Evangelio, Mateo nos proporcionó mucha información. Marcos, nos dio algunos otros detalles, y Lucas compartió con sus lectores aun más. Continuemos leyendo el versículo 29:
“Leví le hizo un gran banquete en su casa; y había mucha compañía de publicanos y de otros que estaban a la mesa con ellos.”
Esta cena fue preparada por Leví para intentar ganar algunas personas para el Señor Jesucristo. Leví no había sido formado en un seminario teológico. Era un recaudador de impuestos y un tunante. Cuando vino al Señor Jesús, hizo lo que pudo. Era un publicano rico, así que organizó una cena e invitó a todos sus colegas de su mismo nivel moral, para que ellos también pudieran tener un encuentro con Cristo.
Los escribas y Fariseos que allí se encontraban tuvieron dificultades para mantener sus bocas cerradas y al final, se acercaron a El. Leamos el versículo 30:
“Los escribas y los fariseos murmuraban contra los discípulos, diciendo: ¿Por qué coméis y bebéis con publicanos y pecadores?”
Ellos manifestaron sus críticas por medio de una pregunta y el Señor Jesús tuvo una buena respuesta para ellos. El Señor siempre protege a los suyos. Leamos los versículos 31 y 32:
“Respondiendo Jesús, les dijo: Los que están sanos no tienen necesidad de médico, sino los enfermos. No he venido a llamar a justos, sino a pecadores al arrepentimiento.”
Los escribas y Fariseos preguntaron a los discípulos por qué comían con publicanos y pecadores. La respuesta del Señor fue sencilla y hermosa. El era el Gran Médico que no andaba por ahí sanando a la gente que se encontraba bien. El vino para servir a aquellos que estaban enfermos por causa del pecado. EL Evangelio es realmente para los que reconocen su necesidad. Hay algunas personas que se consideran demasiado buenas para ser salvas. No son conscientes de su necesidad. Si tú reconoces tener una necesidad, entonces el Evangelio es para ti. Cristo puede salvarte, y te salvará. Pero si te sientes autosuficiente y no reconoces tener ninguna necesidad personal, y continúas por el camino que tú mismo has elegido, éste te llevará a la destrucción. Siento tener que decirlo así. Y el Gran Médico no puede hacer nada por aquellos que creen que no están enfermos.
Continuemos leyendo el versículo 33:
“Entonces ellos le preguntaron: ¿Por qué los discípulos de Juan ayunan muchas veces y hacen oraciones, y asimismo los de los fariseos, pero los tuyos comen y beben?”
Los escribas y Fariseos habían observado que los discípulos de Juan ayunaban, mientras que los discípulos de Jesús no se privaban de nada. Veamos la respuesta de Jesús en los versículos 34 y 35:
“Él les dijo: ¿Podéis acaso hacer que los que están de bodas ayunen entre tanto que el esposo está con ellos? Pero vendrán días cuando el esposo les será quitado; entonces, en aquellos días, ayunarán.”
En la actualidad nada nos impide pasarlo bien, aunque el ayuno también es beneficioso, pues reconocemos que nuestro Señor se encuentra en el cielo y nosotros estamos en un mundo que le ha rechazado. El caso es que ya sea que disfrutemos de la comida o ayunemos, nuestra tarea es hacer llegar la Palabra de Dios a la gente que necesita a Jesucristo.
Finalmente, leamos en los versículos 36 al 39, la primera parábola del Evangelio de Lucas, titulada,
La parábola del vestido nuevo y los odres nuevos
“Les dijo también una parábola: Nadie corta un pedazo de un vestido nuevo y lo pone en un vestido viejo, pues si lo hace, no solamente rompe el nuevo, sino que el remiendo sacado de él no armoniza con el viejo. Y nadie echa vino nuevo en odres viejos; de otra manera, el vino nuevo romperá los odres y se derramará, y los odres se perderán. Pero el vino nuevo en odres nuevos se ha de echar, y lo uno y lo otro se conservan. Y nadie que haya bebido del añejo querrá luego el nuevo, porque dice: El añejo es mejor.”
Al ser humano normal o natural le agradan sus viejos modos y costumbres. Figurativamente hablando, le gusta su vino viejo, es decir, su antigua religión. Lo importante es reconocer que nuestro Señor trajo algo nuevo a la humanidad y esto nuevo es el Evangelio. El no vino al mundo para efectuar remiendos en los vestidos viejos. Es decir, no vino a esta tierra para colocarle remiendos a la ley. Vino para pagar el castigo del pecado muriendo en la cruz. Pero El hizo más que eso. Resucitó de los muertos para que pudiera colocar sobre nosotros Su manto de justicia. Nos dio el vino nuevo del Evangelio. Y el vino nuevo del Evangelio debe ser guardado en el odre nuevo de la gracia, y no en el viejo odre de la ley. Recordemos las palabras de San Pablo en Efesios 5:18, No os emborrachéis, pues eso lleva al desenfreno; al contrario, llenaos del Espíritu Santo. Este es el mensaje que el Señor nos comunica para hoy, que El vino a traernos algo nuevo. Vino a salvarnos por medio de la fe en El.
La totalidad de esta capítulo señala hacia una dirección, que es presentar el Evangelio glorioso del Señor Jesucristo de todas las maneras que sea posible, para que los seres humanos puedan escucharlo y tengan una oportunidad de elegir si le aceptarán, o le rechazarán.
Cada uno de nosotros debe tomar por sí mismo esa decisión.

Bible Study in the Pentateuch Gospel of Luke Chapter 5.

Jesus called His disciples a second time, healed lepers, healed a paralytic , and gave the parable of the new dress and new bottles.
Let’s read verses 1 to 3 , recounting the incident in which
Jesus called his disciples a second time
” It happened that he stood by the Lake of Gennesaret , the people pressed upon him to hear the word of God. Saw two ships standing by the lake shore , the fishermen had gone out of them and were washing their nets . Entered a of the boats, which was Simon’s , and asked him to depart from earth a little. then sat down and taught from the boat to the crowd . “
The Sea of Galilee was the Sea of Galilee . There the fishermen had left their boats and were washing their nets . The Lord climbed into Simon Peter’s boat and asked him to push a little further from the shore. It was that Jesus makeshift pulpit . I think this real scene is also a figurative and suggestive illustration . In a sense , every pulpit is a ” fishing boat ” , a place to communicate the Word of God and try to catch fish . This does not mean that every time pick fish proclaim the Word , – the disciples , at least not that often collected . But it does mean that anyone who is on board must not forget that their ultimate mission in life is to catch the souls of humans. He continues, verse 4 :
” When he finished speaking, he said unto Simon, Launch out into the deep , and let down your nets for a catch . “
After the Lord finished speaking to the people, must have thought it was time to stop fishing and fishing men rather some fish . Matthew and Mark were told the first time He called these men was walking by the Sea of Galilee, and on that occasion he saw Simon Peter and his brother Andrew casting a net into the sea: for they were fishers. And then the Lord said : ” Follow me and I will make you fishers of men” ( Matthew 4:19 , Mark 1:17). These men had returned to their occupation as fishermen. The Lord evidently performed 3 called His disciples . The majority had met in Jerusalem , which was narrated by John in his first chapter. When John the Baptist identified and said to Jesus, some of the disciples who were with John wanted to know where Jesus lived . Among those who followed John were Philip, Nathaniel , Simon Peter and Andrew. The Lord had not called these men on that first occasion , just met them . Later, the Lord would go through the Sea of Galilee , they would fish and invite them to follow . They leave their nets and follow him . Then return to your usual occupation . Then Luke told us that the Lord called again, calling them to be fishers of men , and this time they appointed His apostles .
As the Lord had been speaking to the crowd from his boat , Simon Peter had been sitting in the boat listening. When he finished speaking internase asked him arrojase offshore and their networks. It is as if he had said, ” Stop fishing with me , now I go fishing with you .” Consider his reaction in verse 5 :
” Simon answered and said, Master, all have been working night and caught nothing, but at thy word I will let down the net. “
The phrase ” but at your word I will let down the net ” highlights that initially had resisted . They were expert fishermen and thought they knew all about fishing in the Sea of Galilee , and really , it was. Peter said they had been fishing all night without collecting anything.
The story goes that on one occasion Wellington communicated an order to one of his generals. This told him that was impossible to fulfill that order. Wellington then said, ” Well, you go and stick to it , because I do not give orders impossible.” When Jesus gives you an order , you need not argue or discuss it with him, with an argument similar to that used Pedro : ” We have tried and can not do.” Does not give us impossible to obey commands . Verse 6 presents the result of that incident :
” When they did, collected so many fish that their nets began to break . “
The fishing had to be carried out under his instructions. Here are many lessons for us . Fishing is an art. One has to go where the fish are , using the proper bait , be patient , but the important lesson is teaching us is that we have to fish according to His instructions .
On this occasion , the net broke . Later in the book of John , a net full of fish did not break. Fisherman’s net teaches us a truth. At that time there was no network that could hold the fish for the simple reason that he had not yet died and risen from the dead, and the Gospel consists precisely in these two realities . The ” network ” containing the fish should be one that would be based on the death and resurrection of Christ. This time , he had not yet taken place death nor resurrection and the net broke . After His death and resurrection , the Lord taught them how to fish and then the net was not torn . (John 21:1-11 ) . On that occasion , he said that they were to preach the Gospel to the ends of the earth.
Let’s read verses 7 and 8:
” So they signaled to their partners in the other boat to come and help . They came and filled both boats , so that they began to sink . Simon Peter saw this , he fell at Jesus’ knees , saying, Depart from me, Lord , I am a sinner . “
Look at what a huge number of fish collected .
Peter confessed his failure, was not even a good fisherman because of their lack of faith . When he said , “Depart from me, Lord , for I am a sinful man ” was as if he actually had said, ” Lord , you called me to be a fisher of men and failed . And back to catch fish , because I thought I knew better that kind of fishing. and I just discovered that it is not. Depart from me , leave me alone . ‘m a sinner . should find another which you could rely and be safe. ” However, the Lord did not try to get rid of Simon Peter and would use him. And this also applies to us. All we have to do is recognize that we are not very good fishermen : we must recognize our failures and betrayals . Simon Peter was a fisher of men . Remember how well you did on the day of Pentecost. Jesus’ answer to Peter was certainly significant. 3,000 people came to Christ after the first sermon. Is that Peter was fishing in accordance with the instructions of God.
But here’s another lesson. Did you know that there is another fisherman? Did not you know that Satan is also one of them ? St. Paul said in 2 Timothy 2:26, which reads: So wake up and escape the trap that the devil is imprisoned and subjected to his will. Satan also has his hook in the water. God is fishing for your soul and the same is doing Satan has placed his hook things of this world that he controls . Also, figuratively speaking , we can say that God ‘s hook is a cross . Is the cross where you died for the Son of God. And this is the message that God wants to communicate . By the way, the hook of who are you? Because you will be in God or your enemy. Now read verses 12 and 13, which we count as
Jesus cleansed the leper
“It happened that when he was in one of the cities, a man full of leprosy: who seeing Jesus fell on his face and besought him , saying : Lord, if you can make me clean . Jesus therefore out his hand and touched him, saying, I will , be thou clean. And immediately the leprosy departed from him. “
In verses 12 to 15 we have the story of the healing of a leper . Lucas was a good doctor. He recognized the psychological implications of the healing of this leper , which was not understood at the time.
We are not told how the man discovered he had leprosy , but it could have happened in the following way : One day he came to plow the field and told his wife : ” I have a small sore on the palm of my hand and it bothers me when I’m plowing. could you put a poultice and sujetármela with a band ? ‘s wife band fixed but the next day the wound was worse. A few days later both were alarmed . His wife said, ” you should go and introduce yourself to the priest . ” he did, who was isolated for 14 days. at the end of their isolation the priest examined and discovered that leprosy had spread. then informed him that he was a leper. the man , heartbroken , told the priest : ” Let me go say goodbye to my wife and children ” and that he replied, ” you can not say goodbye to them , you can not ever have his wife or his children in his arms ” and so it was that the man left alone. his family would take the food and leave her in a certain place , retiring from there when the come to get her. from a distance , could see his wife and children who , over time , grew every day.
Then one day the Lord Jesus passed by. The leper said, ” Lord, if you can make me clean .” The King of Kings replied, ” I want to . Was clean.” But notice how the Lord healed him . He extended His hand and touched the man affected by leprosy . This poor man had not felt for years the touch of anyone. Can you imagine what that meant to him will feel about it the touch of the hand of Christ ?
Did you touch the Lord your life ? There are so many lives that need to be touched. If you already belong , and you are fishing to His commands , I’m sure you can reach someone to the Lord . You need to extend your hand and touch one ‘s soul , who only you can now play.
Let’s read verses 17 to 20 , in which
Jesus touched a paralytic
” It happened one day that he was teaching, and sat the Pharisees and teachers of the law who had come from every village of Galilee and Judea and Jerusalem: and the power of the Lord was present to heal. Happened that a men brought in a bed a man who was paralyzed , tried to go and put it in front of him . they could not find how to do it because of the crowd , they went up on the house roof and lowered him on the stretcher and put him in midst before Jesus. And when he saw their faith, he said unto him , Man, thy sins are forgiven . “
This is the story of the healing of the paralytic at Capernaum . Some of his friends did descend through the roof of a house , for the Lord Jesus Christ could see . Matthew and Mark reported this incident . Mark recorded the longest story , but his was the shortest Gospel . The Lord healed the man because those four friends drove the sick in His presence , he could hear the words : Man, your sins are forgiven. And so came to this wonderful statement that sick .
There are many people who will not receive the message of salvation unless you sostengas the end of his bed and take them to where they can hear the Word of the Lord. They are paralyzed , immobilized by sin and by many other things in the world that retain in your state. Some are paralyzed by prejudice, and others by indifference. Never going to hear Jesus say the big statement, ” Your sins are personates ” , unless you take into your hands the ends of the stretcher and take them to where the Lord.
All these incidents reveal the fact that the Lord Jesus Christ wants us to communicate the message of salvation to others. That is why I preach the Word of God. And remember that no person can carry a stretcher herself . It took four men to carry the stretcher the paralytic . Today we need more men and women so that , with your cooperation , the Word of God to reach those who need it.
Now read verses 27 and 28 , which record
The Call of Matthew
” After this he went out and saw a tax collector named Levi , sitting at the tax office , and said to him , Follow me. And he left all, rose up and followed him. “
In his Gospel , Matthew gave us much information. Mark gave us a few other details , and Lucas shared with readers even more . Let’s read verse 29 :
” Levi made him a great feast in his house, and had great company of publicans and of others that sat down with them . “
This dinner was prepared by Levi to try to win some people to the Lord Jesus Christ . Levi had not been trained in a theological seminary . He was a tax collector and rogue . When the Lord Jesus came , did what he could . It was a rich tax collector , so I arranged a dinner and invited all his colleagues of the same moral level , that they also may have an encounter with Christ .
The scribes and Pharisees who were there struggled to keep their mouths shut and ultimately came to Him Notice verse 30:
” The scribes and Pharisees murmured against his disciples , saying, Why do ye eat and drink with publicans and sinners ? “
They expressed their criticism by a question and the Lord Jesus had a good answer for them. The Lord always protects its own . Let’s read verses 31 and 32:
” Jesus answered and said unto them, They that are whole need not a physician, but the sick. Did not come to call the righteous , but sinners to repentance. “
The scribes and Pharisees asked the disciples why they ate with publicans and sinners . The Lord’s answer was simple and beautiful . He was the Great Physician that went around healing people he was fine . He came to serve those who were sick because of sin . THE Gospel is really for those who recognize their need . There are some people who consider themselves too good to be saved. They are not aware of their need. If you recognize have a need , then the Gospel is for you. Christ can save , and save you . But if you feel self-sufficient and not acknowledge having any personal need , and continue down the path that you yourself have chosen , this will lead to destruction. Sorry to say so . And the Great Physician can do nothing for those who believe that they are sick .
Let’s read verse 33 :
” Then they asked : Why do the disciples of John fast often, and make prayers, and likewise the disciples of the Pharisees , but yours eat and drink? “
The scribes and Pharisees had observed that the disciples of John fasted while Jesus’ disciples were not deprived of anything. Let Jesus’ response in verses 34 and 35:
” He said to them , Can ye make the children of the bridegroom fast while as the bridegroom is with them ? But days will come when the bridegroom is taken away , then , in those days they will fast. “
Currently nothing prevents us from having fun, but also fasting is beneficial, for we know that our Lord is in heaven and we are in a world that has rejected. The fact is that whether you enjoy a meal or we fast , our task is to get the Word of God to people who need Jesus .
Finally , we read in verses 36 to 39 , the first parable in the Gospel of Luke , entitled ,
The parable of the new dress and new bottles
” He told them a parable : No one tears a piece from a new garment and puts it on an old garment , because if you do, not only breaks new but the piece from will not match the old . And no one puts new wine into old bottles: else the new wine will burst the wineskins and be spilled, and the bottles shall perish . But new wine into new bottles must be put , and the one and both are preserved . and no one want has drunk old wine immediately desires new , for he says, the old is better . “
When natural or normal human being likes their old ways and habits. Figuratively speaking , he likes his old wine , that is, their old religion . The important thing is to recognize that our Lord brought something new to mankind and this again is the Gospel. He did not come into the world to make patches on old garments . I mean, did not come to this earth to putting on patches to law. He came to pay the penalty of sin by dying on the cross. But he did more than that . He rose from the dead so that he could place upon us His robe of righteousness . We gave the new wine of the Gospel. And the new wine of the Gospel must be saved in the new wineskin of grace, and not in the old wineskin of the law. Remember the words of St. Paul in Ephesians 5:18, not get drunk , for that is dissipation , on the contrary , be filled with the Holy Spirit . This is the message that the Lord tells us today, that He came to bring us something new . He came to save us through faith in Him
This entire chapter points to a direction , which is to present the glorious Gospel of Jesus Christ in every way possible, so that humans can hear and have an opportunity to choose whether you accept or reject it .
Each of us must make that decision himself .
